Lesson: Matthew 15: 21-28
Food for Thought
"Justice" is when you get the
punishment you deserve, but "mercy" is not
getting the punishment you deserve. God wants to be
merciful to us, even when we deserve to be punished.
Take time right now to confess to God the things for
which you deserve to be punished, and ask for his
mercy.
Jesus says, "Blessed are the
merciful, for they will receive mercy" (Matthew
5:7). Is there someone you are judging right now, or
punishing with your thoughts or actions? Will you
offer this person mercy, and not justice?
